Murphy's law was definitely in effect when we paid a visit to the Jelly Belly factory. The entire state of California was on Spring Break while we were there, and for some scientifically inexplicable reason they all decided to converge in Fairfield, CA... at 1 Jelly Belly Lane, to be exact. After a brief calculation, we concluded that a 3-hour wait in line was not a good trade for the factory tour, and that we could be content with a jelly-belly-shaped burger and pizza. And a picture of the giant Jelly Belly while the sun was still out.

Jaden had one specific request for our Californian excursion--that we see the Golden Gate Bridge. Okay, let's go.

At the Aquarium of the Bay in San Francisco, you pass through tunnels surrounded by water in which you can see over 10,000 sea animals found in the San Francisco bay. At least that's what the brochure said. This is the underside of some kind of ray which eerily resembles some kind of happy pokemon. Friendly and creepy at the same time.

One of the cutest angels in the world.
Love this pictures. Sorry to hear about the Jelly Belly excursion. Well at least you made the best of it. Make sure you check out Maggie's blog. I have a link to it on mine:)
ReplyDeleteMmmm... Jelly Bellies. Yes, I can attest to the fact that the bay aquarium is underwhelming, but the golden gate is pretty cool. Did you walk across? Funny, b/c in NYC the ONLY thing Caleb cared about doing was the Statue of Liberty :)
ReplyDeleteRachel, I just saw your comment. We walked across half of the bridge and Jaden was in heaven! That's all he wanted to do. How's Australia?
ReplyDeleteNot to rub it in since you didn't get to visit it, but the Jelly Belly factory is pretty cool...we went a couple of times while we lived in No. Cal. I love that you guys went sightseeing in and around where Larry grew up-- so fun!
